Anyone who has watched Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice would know that it’s merely a prequel to a series, the Justice League. Heck, even people who haven’t watched it would know, since Superman and Batman would definitely friend each other in Facebook after the movie.
According to the Extended Universe Wiki Page, the sequel will come as early as 2017. If you’re still not sure what Justice League is, here a portion of the animated series for you:
The title of the movie will be Justice League: Part One, and the idea to have a Justice League movie begun immediately after Man of Steel was completed. The whole idea is to create a number of DC Comics superhero movies, each having their own stories but allowing them to be in the same “world” so that they can “meet each other” in that world.
The first movie (or second, since Man of Steel is the first) is then materialized into Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but the development for Justice League: Part One began before the production of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Technically it’s not a direct sequel to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman, both in the Extended Universe series, would be in cinemas before it, but it’s the first movie to feature the team of Batman and Superman again.
The director would still be Zack Snyder. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash have been confirmed to be in the team, with all of them having their own movies as well, although only Wonder Woman is the only one who has her movie out before Justice League: Party One.
As usual, the plot of the movie has not been revealed and I’m quite certain it will remain a secret until the movie is out.
Filming for the movie is set to be in April 2016, which is next month. The movie is scheduled to be released in November 2017, so it could mean that soon, we would all be watching more superhero movies.
